Input circuit

Power Input circuit was broken after accidental rise of voltage in net (probably N line was disconnected on main trafo).

Input circuit:

  • Fuse 2,5A AL - of course it survices (2,5A is too much for this device, rated as 0,15A)
  • Filters: 20 Ohm SMD resistor and ferrite coil with not so thick wire - both broken (2x R and 2x L). Ferrite coil value is not known. Other power line adapters are using 47uH ferrite coils. This coil is vertical THT coil, diameter 4,5mm, height 7mm, 2.5mm pin distance.
  • Quite big sized varistor - it saves shole device shorting the overvoltage.
    • Model 471KD10J, for 300V AC voltage operation, 1mA @ 470V. Diameter 12mm, thickness 4mm
    • Replaced with one I found: TVR10471
