Compile recipe without striping and with debug info

Above is enough to enable debug build and symbols. If not it is always possible to add:

EXTRA_OECMAKE += "-DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Debug"
CFLAGS += "-g"
</code>

And add to local/site/auto.conf:
